New Maltese Puppies Arrived ahead of schedule

Hi, Today is a short blog posting as I am very, very busy taking care of Gracie and her newborn Maltese Puppies. She is being a very good mommy, so much so that I have to force her to get out of her whelping box to go potty. She loves them so much she wont leave them for a second even to take care of her own needs. We are giving her, her canned food in her bed as she wont even get out to eat... She knows they need her and love her. She will gain more confidence in her ability to get out of the whelping box to eat and go potty in a few days. Right now being a great mommy is what she want to do, and is doing it very well. 

We have her crib covered up like she is in a fort and she is facing the t.v. so she can catch up on her favorite shows. LOL...She even watched the super bowl this way... I swear I thought I saw her smile when Beyonce was singing..

We are so excited because Skylar's Newborns are twelve days old and about to open their eyes!

It is so heartwarming to see them looking at their mommy for the first time.

This is one of our greatest joys, and so much fun too!

NEW Maltese Puppies have been Born!

Skylar gave birth to a new litter on January 5th, 2013

• Male Maltese Puppy born at 3:40 p.m. - birth weight: 3and 1/2 ounce
• Female Maltese Puppy born at 3:55 p.m. - birth weight: 3 and 5/8 ounce
• Female Maltese Puppy born at 4:32 p.m. - birth weight: 3 ounce
• Female Maltese Puppy born at 5:25 p.m. - birth weight: 4 ounce

These Puppies weights will be approximately 3-4 pounds when they are fully grown.

They all have beautiful baby doll heads and faces but the true test will be when they open their eyes. That is when we will price them.

Oh, My Goodness! they did it again!

These precious puppies can't seem to figure out that when they nurse from their mommy Monroe, they get milk drunk and that is why they dift off to sleep. It is so adorable to see them "sleeping it off"

This is just one way puppies melt your heart. I wish all my clients could see these adorable little mini events in a puppy's life and development.

Purchasing your Maltese puppy from an AKC Breeder of record

Why should I purchase my Maltese or Yorkie puppy from an American Kennel Club Breeder who has been AKC Compliance Inspected?

1. Without viewing a copy of this compliance report, your NEVER assured your Yorkie or Maltese breeder is adhering to the standards of the breed set forth by the parent clubs of the breed.
2. Your not assured your puppy is a purebred
3. You do not know if they are being raised and cared for to the high standards set forth by AKC
4. You wont know if your puppy is healthy
5. You wont know if your puppy has been socialized 
6. You might be purchasing from a puppy mill or a backyard breeder!

What can happen if I am buying from a Puppy mill or Backyard breeder?  

O.M.G. the problems you will have if they are not a reputable AKC Breeder. 

You might have health issues that can be sever or even deadly 

You might have a puppy that is socially disabled 

You could have a puppy that will live a very unhealthy and shortened life.

You might be spending a lot of your hard earned money on veterinary fees.
